The manual pages that saved Apollo 13

Bonhams auctioned a bit of space history on April 2010, including the manual pages that described how to power down the Apollo 13 electrical systems after an oxygen tank exploded in the Odyssey’s Service Module. This incident was made famous in the film Apollo 13 by Ron Howard.

    This is great that this piece of the space program is being preserved. So much of it was not preserved. I have a space collection I began by buying photos, manuals, and books from a second hand bookstore. The engineer who worked at NASA from Mercury to Apollo sold it very cheap because his children and grandchildren had no interest in it. Their loss, my gain. I have added to it over the years.
